Charcoal Portrait

This is the latest charcoal sketch I did on gray paper, its 18x24.
I did it for the competition at the Portrait Society of America.
A friend of mine gave me some charcoal she wanted me to try.
Works great.

Bird Dog

I found this painting I did in 2000. It was in pastel; format is 9x12 on yellow paper.
I had misplaced it; it's a bird dog. I got the reference out of a magazine. It still looks pretty good.

size is 18X24 and it depicts a Puertorican Plena dancer.

National Art Award 1st Place

The pastor of my Church suggested I submit a painting to the Church
of God Senior juried art competition which was held in Mauldin, South Carolina.
So I did, and what a surprise was it to hear I won 1st place at the
State level. What a blessing. This is a painting of a Great Heron
It is an oil on canvas 18"X 24".

Happy Birthday!!

This is a self portrait I did to commemorate my 50th birthday. It was done in charcoal (of course) 9x12.

Portrait of my daughter

This is a contemporary portrait of my daughter. It's an 24x48 acrylic on canvas. It's the first time I painted something in this style. I enjoyed it very much and my daughter loves it.

Einstein charcoal portrait

Finished this portrait of Albert Einstein. It's an 11x14 on grey charcoal paper. I plan to do more prominent and not so prominent figures. It should be fun.
